Four-Dimensional Memory: Creating Virtual Reality
Based on his unique view of “self” and individual expression, Josephson’s technique has been formulated over the course of his 30 years of directing, performing and teaching acting, singing and dance, and his approach is universal among all forms of performance. The technique is based on expanding the individual’s communicative flexibility in order to maximize the possibilities of expression. This helps to create an ease for the performer and allows for the maximum fluidity and responsiveness.
Actors are guided through explorations in the four-dimensions of self: Intellectual/Psychological, Emotional, Kinesthetic (internal) and Relational (external). These memories act as the foundation of the new “reality” that is your character’s life.
